The "Terrific Trio" of 2007 Everglades fame, is working on plans for another trip to Everglades National Park to follow Christmas 2008 for some eight to 10 days between December 26 and January 5 .
THIS IS A TRIP FOR INDIVIDUAL ADVENTURESOME ADULTS.
The tentative ideas are to begin the trip with a chartered motor launch from Everglades City to Highland Beach on the Gulf with kayaks, meals and even tents provided. Per person/per day cost would vary depending on how many go, what is provided by the charter company and what is brought by the participants.
The plan would be to motor down to Highland Beach and spend three to five days exploring the area. One excursion might be to paddle through The Nightmare which is a winding creek paralleling the Gulf done at high tide of course!
The next part of the plan would split the group. Those who want to strike off independently in kayaks would leave the charter for a five-day paddle back to Chokoloskee. The others would return to Everglades City via the charter's motor launch.
