Badge, and Try-It Projects
In addition to the projects in each
age-level resource book, there are a number of additional Patch,
Badge, and Try-It Projects available for Girl Scouts to work on.
Below, you will find an alphabetical list of projects available.
For some, the requirements are available on this site or on Girl
Scouts of the USA's site. For others, requirements can be requested
from the council. You can download an overview of projects available

Baby Basics (All
levels)
Baby Basics
is the most successful, longest running community action project
in our Council’s history.
Every year, during Girl Scout week in March, Girl Scouts gather
and donate formula, baby food, diapers, and infant care items
to about 80 different agencies and churches from Sebastian to
Boca Raton to help needy babies with some of the ‘basics’ of

Butterflies (Brownie
and Junior)
Butterflies was
developed by Port St Lucie Junior Troop 331, to help reestablish
butterfly populations devastated during the hurricanes of 2004. Click

Fun (Junior)
Cooking
for is one of our "Council’s Own" official Junior Girl Scout
badges, written by Boynton Beach Troop 299. Click here for

Discover
the World
(Studio 2B)
The Discover the World Patch is focused on intercultural exploration
and budget travel. To complete the patch, girls choose between
activities ranging from trip planning and interviewing international
travelers to participating in local volunteer projects. The patch
helps girls become more engaged, caring world citizens. This patch

Art (All levels)
The National
Museum of Women in the Arts has developed a patch project for
Girl Scouts. Click

Fashion
(Junior)

Florida History
(All levels)
Girl Scouts in Florida
have the privilege of living in one of America ’s greatest
states. Florida has a rich, dramatic history and a deeply varied
culture. The Florida History Patch was originally created by the
Gateway Girl Scout Council to celebrate Florida ’s 150th
Anniversary as a state. It was designed to help girls become more
familiar with the county, council area, and state in which we live,

Get
with the Land (All
levels)
Linking Girls to the Land (LGTTL)
is an interagency partnership between Girl Scouts of the USA's
Elliott Wildlife Values Project and federal natural resource
agencies. This partnership works toward giving every girl an
opportunity to participate in conservation and outdoor programs.

With the thousands of animals in our counties
in shelters at any given time, and considering the blankets must
